Carol A. Melton.



Carol A. Melton is Executive Vice President for Global Public Policy of Time Warner Inc.

Ms. Melton became Time Warner's Executive Vice President for Global Public Policy in June 2005. She is responsible for overseeing the Company's public policy offices in Washington, D.C., London, Brussels and Hong Kong. As Time Warner's chief public policy strategist, she works closely with all of Time Warner's business units in managing issues connected to their domestic and international operations. Previously in her career, Ms. Melton until 1997 served at Time Warner as Vice President for Law and Public Policy, having joined the company initially in 1987 as Washington Counsel for Warner Communications Inc.

From 1997 to 2005, Ms. Melton served at Viacom as a member of that company's senior management team. As Executive Vice President for Government Relations, she oversaw policy issues for all of Viacom's business operations, including CBS, Paramount, MTV Networks, Showtime and Simon & Schuster.

Ms. Melton has also served as Legal Advisor to the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission; as Assistant General Counsel for the National Cable Television Association; and as an associate with the law firm of Hogan & Hartson.

Ms. Melton is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Economic Club of Washington, D.C. and the Federal City Council. She has served previously on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Broadcasters and on the Boards of Trustees of the Committee for Economic Development, the Media Institute, the Meridian International Center, the Potomac School, the Federal Communications Bar Association Foundation and the Washington Performing Arts Society.

Ms. Melton earned a B.A. degree with honors from Wake Forest University, an M.A. in Journalism and Communications from the University of Florida, and a J.D. with honors from the Washington College of Law at American University.
